Dan Olson

Dan Olson (M.A.T.S, Regent College) co-founded the Spreading Hope Network (alongside Russ Gregg) and was Executive Director from 2017-2024. Though he’s no longer on staff, Dan maintains a seat on our Board of Directors and remains a strong advocate for greater access to Urban Christian education.

He began his career as a high school teacher and has 20+ years of non-profit governance and leadership experience with Hope Academy, The Gospel Coalition, and Baker Publishing Group. As of June 2024, Dan now serves as Vice President for Presbyterian Homes Foundation.

He has written about education and culture for Mere Orthodoxy, The Gospel Coalition, Classical Academic Press, and other journals. He is also a children’s book author, including Oh, the Treasures You’ll Know (10 Publishing, 2022) and The Runaway Sheep (10 Publishing, 2024).

He and his wife Lucy and their four children call Minneapolis and Hope Community Church home.
